Got this today. It looks proof like but has some flaws in the fields.

This one took me about a week to complete the transaction due to paypal hiccups.

Anyway, PCGS says there are less than 100 known, are they right?

    1881 $5 NGC MS62 Liberty Head

I take the PCGS value with a pinch of salt.

I don't know why PCGS would say that. They have graded over 8,000 of them. Over 2700 of those graded MS62.

    NGC has graded over 16,000 1881 $5 Liberty Heads, 5673 in MS62.

Although she gave me some to start my collection when I was a kid, my mom gave me the rest of her wheat pennies several years ago, and I've been working to finish the collection ever since. With this, I'm now only missing the 1909s VDB and a couple of other coins. Once I have them, I'll have the complete set of circulated Lincoln cents. This one isn't the prettiest one out there, but I don't care because I could finally afford it! Plus, it won't stick out grade-wise from the rest of the set. ;)

Probably best to just appreciate it if I like it then!

But thanks for pointing out my error in simple cross-referencing.

And this Ben Franklin has sweet lines. The first picture appears to have brush cleaning damage, the close ups reveal the fine detail. To be clear, I am using sellers photos in all of my postings. I get very few of these delivered to me where I live. 1949 Half PCGS MS64FBL Obverse.JPG 1949 Half PCGS MS64FBL Obverse Detail.JPG 1949 Half PCGS MS64FBL Reverse Detail.JPG
