I bought this one for a bargain. The seller actually admitted that it was sent to a TPG and came back as cleaned (which shows they thought highly of it as well). I find it really attractive and glad I don't have to bust it out of a slab to fit in my raw type set anyway
1969-S Proof Lincoln Cent (PCGS PR67RB). This came in the mail today and was about 100x better than the sellers muted photo. I can only describe this as radioactive. This coin has an older cert number -- and I found an old 2008 auction of it on Teletrade in the same slab, so it's at least 7 years old and pretty stable. It just lights up like a firecracker in indirect sunlight. I shot this a few hours ago with my iPhone. Wow.
Havent got any new greeks in a very long time. Made a low offer on this and got it, gotta love old stock. MESEMBRIA THRACE, (2ND CENTURY B.C.) Æ17 O: Diademed female head right. Today a man-made isthmus connects it to the mainland. The modern name is Nesebar, an important seaside resort. Several ancient churches and ruins are preserved on the peninsula.
Here is the sellers photo in the eBay ad from a few days ago ... This is the old Teletrade listing from 2008 ... (Even the old Teletrade images are a bit muted compared to the coin in hand -- but def. better (more representative) than the eBay seller's photo from last week).
