I thought I would share it with all of you . I am sending it of to get graded/slabbed in 2 day's & I will share the grade & picture's with you all again !
@Doug1974 ; I was a bit slow to respond to the PM. I wanted to think about what I saw in the pictures. Keep us updated on the coin. Even if it gets a details grade, it will be authenticated and easier to sell, if that's your plan. Which grading service are you using?
Me to I traded (9) 100oz. silver bar's for this 1893-S ! I got it from a reputable coin shop & it as a good return policy .
I share this in another thread, but I wanted to post it again. I received the coin a couple days ago. In-hand, the toning is pretty close to the pictures. I like the soft green and I also like the NGC 4.0 no-line fatty holder. The reverse has great luster and is very clean. It has rim toning and it most intense from 6-9 o'clock.
Here is the NGC info on your/this coin : Coin Information Date/Info: 1878 7TF REV OF 78 Denomination: S$1 Grade: MS 63 Additional Information NGC Coin Price Guide:$145.00 Total Graded at 63:4840
Thanks Doug. I paid a slight premium for the toning, but I don't really care. It's already in my NGC Morgan set.
Population# MS 63 Ngc 1878 all types are known to be off. But close as you can Get as so many get sent back without holders. I had one person have us submit his set 10 times he a lawyer and want to up his comp set. And did but wasted money for five points. Alabama grad too.
That 93-S is a fake. The denticles are whacky, the details are soft like a counterfeit and it looks like it's missing the die marker in T of LIBERTY.
