This might provide some amusement after all the beauties above; it is my latest purchase, however, having arrived yesterday.

No, I'm not crazy. That's destined for my pocket as part of my "pocket coin collection" which I have mentioned here before and also explain at my blog.

When I was a boy in the 50's, these had already passed out of circulation, but they could be sometimes found in half dollar rolls from the bank. However, $10 for a roll of halves was not something a young boy like me could come by easily, so I had very few of these then!

Welcome back Hugh. @LostDutchman posted a Pf 68 Morgan with great color made me think of you in the toned coin thread last week! Always good to see more of your coin porn!

Nice coins Joe. That almost looks better then a 63. Cleaner cheek then that green 84 I just bought which is 64*

Thanks Bill. I thought so as well. I'm not a big fan of "baggy" Morgan toners, but I can deal with a small level of chatter.

I'm the same way I got a few 63s I love but their monster toners. I mostly stick with the 64-5 range.

I try to as well, but I've noticed coins going for cheaper than expected prices right now (maybe due to the holidays) and I thought I'd pick up a couple nice ones. I think the market for exceptional and/or rare coins is still very strong, but the mid level coin market is a little soft right now. A good time to buy!
