Cletis, the coin in that picture is currently for sale on eBay for $5499. It also appears near the top in Google Images when doing a search for 1oz APE coins. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-W-100-...48187?pt=US_Bullion_Coins&hash=item259709225b
This one didn't get that 'half the price of ms' pass, unfortunately. This was about 62-63 prices. But that toning has a price that had to be paid too.
Well yea a coin with that eye appeal would get the price bump. If you ever want to part with it, let me know!
1916 Merc - MS66 FB in an old NGC soap bar. Still working on my coin photography but these are pretty accurate. The surfaces are super clean, but the toning held it back from 67 I think.
I even have the matching half dollar! Not a slider but still nice eye appeal. This will be going in with my next batch of coins to NGC.
I went to a coin show over the weekend and picked up my first slabbed coin, which I didn't want to pay very much; picked up my new oldest coin, a 1831 large cent; and the others pictured along with a few wheat pennies and a standing liberty quarter. Most were from a bargain bin because I'm on a low budget.
