Now for the impulse buy of the tournament....
Was just watching the auction live on my PC, and it's really hard not to click "bid" when you see a coin that might be nice....I bought it for the color, but already own this date and m/m in MS66.

Still pretty amazed with the pop of the photos I can take with my iPhone. I know these are not very professional and the glare obscures parts of the coin -- but I like it anyway.

 

Two new IHC's bought from Ebay $14.16 including all fees for the pair

And a US Capitol Visiter Center Commemorative - $27.5 at auction including fees

Probably over paid a little on the IHC's but it is my first type set I am putting together and these look to be in good quality, What would you grade these IHC's? Both have full Liberty. I know the glare of the 2x2 doesn't help


And the Visitor Center at 27.5 seems to be on the low end of what they are going for today, figure it is a good buy.

Also won this from Heritage sometime over the weekend.

You picked up a STUNNER. I like that proof trade almost as much as my pattern seated quarter I recently acquired.

Both had lots of color and were scarce coins to boot.

 

Your pattern quarter is the only thing just as sexy I've seen in a while I'm loving that too!! Is a design I'd wished they'd adopted actually!

 

I was quite impressed with it myself, and after doing the research on it, I was comfortable with the price. In fact, mine is one of the few that are this nice with a ton of eye appeal. I saw a couple others from past sales that were either not toned or just not very pretty coins. I also paid about the same price as the last time it sold on Heritatge, in fact im fairly certain the guy I bought it from was the last HA winner and i think he took a small loss by accepting my offer. I offered $2650 and it sold around $2250-$2300 last on HA.

My ace up my sleeve were the ebay bucks though, i only ended up paying $2250 out of pocket for the coin. $300 in redeemable EBB, plus another $100 upon making the purchase. Thank you ebay!

 

Personally I think it a good buy!! I still hate sleaze bay tho

 

I think the $3990 I paid was a fair price for mine too especially when I get it in a pcgs holder it could even upgrade but I'll be happy with pf 64

 

I saw a coin and though of you, a nicely priced toned pattern, but I know how you are about ebay.

 

Here it is, sold for just under $2000

 

I loved the color on that one too, but I wasnt a fan of the reverse

 

This NGC coin was mine. The Pcgs coin, with CAC sticker is the same coin or very close . Both sold in
Dec 2013 in auctions for $1000 difference. If they sold same day or week should I have gotten the $1000 difference or someone else?
Oh, the NGC coin is deleted at NGC.
