    Got two new non-coin additions to my wonderful hobby

    To take some better pictures!

    @gbroke, will this work?

    (Couldnt resist the camera, had my eye on it at a Staples and it was on clearance for $150, until they realized the floor model was the last one in the store. Reduced another 50% for a grand total of approximately $80 w/tax, and still under a 1 year warranty. YES PLEASE!)

    I just got the book that's a great thing to have in hand. As for the camera I own the previous model and it seems rather difficult to get the best details of the coin with it. I am still working with mine for the time being but I intend on upgrading eventually. What you need is a copy stand now and the lights and you should be good to go. I made my own copy stand out of 2x4's I had laying around and it works great. Good luck Trey.

    That's only a 65? Geez. I'd need to pull out the halogen and loupe to see what's holding that back from being a 66. Very nice!

    My thoughts exactly. There are two small contact marks on the eagle that might have held this coin back. I know the reverse usually doesn't help a coin, but I believe it can hurt it and in this case, I believe it did.

    Can't wait to get it in hand to examine it more closely. The Heritage blown up view shows the coin very well, but still nothing compares to in-hand viewing.

    If you read my posts regularly, you'd know I always loved queen victoria coinage & if it wasnt for ancients, I would solely collect her. One thing I never owned was a big silver british crown & I saw this coin & HAD TO HAVE IT. I loved the toning & all.

    Where a coin speaks, this one shouted.

    I really like that obverse portrait of Queen Victoria. The reverse design speaks for itself. Awesome pick up!

    I like this coin, not even close to that awesome 65, but I'm a little embarrassed to say I bought this because of the first generation ANA holder. pre-ANACS
