This coin looks as good as the day it was made. I'm not an ancient coin collector, but I would have been tempted to buy this one myself.
Hey folks. Ive I been in a major battle over this coin and others. Well I received it Friday and although I did post it earlier I celebrating holding it and its better than I imagined. The 1891 0 25c Sp 66 hasnt been shared with many collectors, but I plan on making this and any coin I own available to anyone that wants to see it, as long as we remain safe. Some higher ups are trying to discourage me and want me to collect stamps or something. That isn't going to happen. Enjoy and more to come.
No, getting possession of it and others. Its paid for. I really can't go into detail at this time. I will as soon as possible. Im just an ordinary collector and the high class elite don't like me owning such rarities. They should be in the hands of an old timer who deserves them. Not a newby like me. Well they may keep my coins or money, they will never get my pride or passion for this hobby. The common man, new Huey Long collector
1916s and 1922d I know I don't take very good pictures with my I Phone but I've been admiring the coins posted on this thread and wanted to add a couple I got last week. I got these for 50 cents a piece I think I did pretty well. Not the caliber of the beauties posted by others by I don't envy y'alls I just admire them and profit margin should I decide to sell these will be much greater LOL. Oh comments are welcomed.
I can understand that I know plenty of people don't much like me either if I wasn't low class I wouldn't have none at all I'm well known for being outspoken opinionated and among other things my mouth would get me banned from here in less than 60 seconds if I was talking
They were in box that had 85 others I listed in a thread asking if I got a good deal for $40 because thats what I paid for the box. It was a gold & silver buyer that had these and she said she wanted $1 each but I could have them for 50cents if took the box I threw two 20's her way and ran out the door. Well not exactly like that but close.
Not so much an "acquisition" as a hey-I-got-this-in-change-at-the-bar, but kind of a cool serial# all the same. I took the time for a picture anyway -L
Sounds like a Mainer to me. Now we just need to let the nice folks on CT hear those words with a lovely Down East accent!
Lol would if I could got a kinda generic but obvious New England accent I've bounced around southern Maine and New Hampshire and was born out in Pittsfield mass actually but been here in my house in limington for 14 years I can be recognized by my ever present Red Sox hat tho
LionelR: You might want to consider having a moderator move your post over to the paper currency forum. They have a thread going there for new acquisitions as well. It probably would fit in better over there.
