It's all good I like 1839 to 1933 but I bought a 2009 High Relief recently and I think it's great . I wish I could find a coin I didn't like. That Would be a real rarietyt
WOW THANKS FOR ALL THE LIKEs .I feel like I've come Full circle and can slow down a little! TODD will be happy To hear that! Thanks a bunch. BTW I'm on a cruise and brought my coin stuff, it's a Great time to reflect on the year. A coin cruise hmmm
Here are a couple 1963 Type B's 1964 with some nice colors on the reverse. And my first barber dime! All this for under $20, can't go wrong!
Beauty of a high relief I got the regular 07 $20 in ms 64 is not as nice but I can afford it and I'm happy
I can say the same there's not a pre 1900 us coin I don't like pre 1909 actually and not a regular issue post 1947 that I do like the early stuff is so much better looking
The picture of the reverse is very blurry Ill post it soon, sorry. Mr. Douglas Winter brought this wonderful coin to my attention. I thought it was unique then and still haven't seen many offered for sale.
Well as my package didn't come before Christmas and I wasn't on ct last year ill show last years Christmas present to myself
That's a great idea!! A coin cruise we could all buy sell trade have an auction etc lol I'm here up in Maine sitting next to the fireplace and wishing wed get more snow after all this ice so I could ride my snowmobile
Im in New Orleans, so it was easy and inexpensive. My Mom is 85 so she is a little limited in what we do. Also have a few others on board... Out of all the activities Im having a good time and catching up on coin stuff.... You know if you sell fifteen cabins you go free I think and Im sure someone out there would sponsor a cruise with auction, education, drinking, ect..... you should work on that..... take 17.5 %
Probably wouldn't be anything I'd be any good at organizing but I'm sure someone here would it sounds like it would be fun if I could actually get away from my work for more than an hour (I work on average 80 hours a week) is how I can afford to buy me pretty coins
Hey, while I take a break from posting please google me, Hugh Stiel. Most of the things you will read are ok.... however part of the past issues I had with someone is they post a couple of nasty things about me in Bad Buyer, ect... They never did tell everyone they were paid in full or did they attempt to clean up the mess on my search page... Ive forgiven them.... just keeping everything real.
Any currency auction may have to be held incognito. I sail Princess exclusively and all their ships have an art auction on the last day. I'm not sure about other lines, but Princess might feel intimidated by another auction on the same cruise. I spend some time in their casino's as well and I know they don't allow "friendly" poker games in any of the common areas. Anything that might limit their on board income stream would probably not fly. You could say they would get a percentage to allow it, but they want all the income, not part of it. Plus, allow it once, and there would be a line of people offering other venues. These could create problems for marketing and ownership. Why would you want to deal with that?
You've brought up a lot of information.. Id say drop the auction and just party! Networking is a huge part of this hobby.... and education couldn't hurt. It maybe tax deductible for some, as well.....Hey , they are doing well in Las Vegas every quarter
