    The 1909 vdb is sort of weird; nice coin. Like Redwin's 1879 MSD @ post # 966 also.

    I love this dime, beautiful.

    Also love that Leopold GypsyTears, beautiful coin. Sure beats my 6kr. I bought it in EF condition.

    I totally agree. That 1909 vbd is really interesting. I wonder how the toning pattern developed.

    Probably kept in an envelope as coin collectors used to do before the advent of 2x2's and albums. Probably a relatively stable environment with only a few big humidity swings over it's life in the envelope.

    I bought this superbly toned 1940-D Jefferson last night.
    I especially love the color on the reverse, above Monticello -- it almost looks like brewing storm clouds.
