Ill second that for 20th c coin of the year is a beauty and I'm an early guy but I'd be proud to own that one my vote for coin of the year is that 1796 quarter that just sold for 1.5 mil makes my top five for prettiest coins of all time!
Beauty, but why do I get the sense NGC would say obv "smoothed"? Maybe it's your super creamy photos.
Hopefully it's the image. This lady has gorgeous original surfaces and is very lustrous, in my opinion. Whatever that's good for lol. Here's a couple other shots.
anyone here help me with their opinion on what they think these Morgans should grade before I make a fool of myself with ANACS!!! I will reveal the grades once I have your opinions
1833 Large Cent ~ NGC MS63BN -- Due to the discoloration on the Obv, I scored a pretty good deal on this one. In hand, it is really not that distracting. The reverse is nice, which is why, along with the price, I ended up pulling the trigger.
Actually saw a CAC coin on eBay for a reasonable price today (no CAC markup). I pulled the trigger. Seller pics:
Thanks to Winged Liberty I was able to add this colorful 1923 Lincoln to the collection. MS65BN. On top of the great color this coin is loaded with luster, which doesn't come through with this TrueView.
I did just purchase a 51 a couple of weeks ago, but I can never pass up a raw gemmy Frankie when I see one on the bay. Saw this one up for auction last week and had to grab it. There's one blemish on the coin that isn't visible in the pics. It is a scratch on the back side of Franklin's head, you can actually see part of it (the dark spot below the B in liberty). However, it isn't severe enough to detract from the coin's eye appeal, but I do believe it would limit this one to a 64 if submitted. On the plus side the bell lines do appear to be full(more so than what the images imply), which is quite scarce on 51's from Philly. I would personally put this one at 64+FBL.
