You're right, it is a die cud. It is pretty prominent with this variety (N-3). It is one of the things that drew me to it.
Sent you a PM. Somebody was also hot for this coin. I didn't like the premium I paid for it, but most any coin with eye appeal was going for sick money.
From the Baltimore show, courtesy of Gerry at Rare American Coins, LLC. Might not look like much, but it's special.
Amen to that although pretty much all the collection had great eye appeal best looking bunch of coins I can remember seeing I'm happy to have bought a few I think any coins from this collection will always carry a premium just like eliasberg norweb Garrett etc
My other junk box find from the weekend. Nothing terribly special but 1969 was a decent year, I think. Thanks for looking. -L
OMG that thing is beautiful! Her face, the details on her chest...just gorgeous. If you don't mind, what did you have to give for it? I have to have a mint standing Liberty in my collection one day.
Id be more than happy to take the coin this one just replaced knowing you that one must be a beaut as well
I picked up two more large cents in the last week. I have only taken pictures of this one, so far. Tomorrow I'll take pictures of the other. So here is my 1828 (NGC AU58BN). There are some scratches on the holder I will need to work around if/when I take a few more pictures.
