visited my LCS today and picked out a few coins for hole fillers that i'll pick up thursday or friday but coud'nt leave empty handed so picked out some world coins for 3 bucks...
Here is a nice circulated Alabama half I got in the mail today. Graded Gem VF-25 by NGC lol... The toning looks just as good in hand as in the photos. Personally I think it's more attractive than a lot of uncirculated pieces, and for a fraction of the price, as this coin has a large spread between circulated and uncirculated. I wonder how many years it spent as a "pocket piece", and which historical events it saw during those years. Definitely lots of character. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1921-Alabam...18?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item46150010a6
My newest acquisitions of silver. Adding variety to my stack. Copper, proof half oz year of the horse,Canadian silver Dollar, proof 90% quaters.
I haven't been able to post NEWPs in this thread in the longest time. Now that I have some money going through, I have bought a few coins. The first thing(s) that ran across my eyes were a couple errors! And an unstruck planchet. You don't know how hard it is to focus a camera on something with nothing to focus on. For that reason, I shall only provide one side. I picked this buff up for reasons that are beyond me. But now it is mine. Grabbed this attractive looking 38-S lincoln to put in my dansco Two type coins to be an upgrade to the rubbish I have. I know they are both problem coins, but I got a great price on them. A few of the San Fran minted circulation strike Quarters because... Why not? And last but certainly not least, Hawaii!
got these today, think i may have over paid a bit at $150 for the lot but thats ok, i'll let my son put them in his folders an he'll be happy...
Here are two of my 5 most recent pick ups. I'll post the other two once I have images for them, the other is just impossible to photograph. NGC 64 A raw Rosie
Hopefully I can get the photo of a 1938 5 cent Jefferson (Nickel) Medal that I purchased and had it graded by ANACS. It is a very nice item and I want to get it posted so that I can get opinions on whether some of you have ever seen one and what you think the value is. Here goes

Nothing too special, just came in the mail a couple days ago. 1942 Mercury Dime. I had a couple soon-to-expire eBay bucks to spend so I bid $4 on a 'random year Mercury dime' auction. Actually surprised I got one in pretty great shape
Continuing my shield nickel collection... unfortunately a lot of the Just for Fun top pop stuff is NOT CAC so it will not be included in the collection!
Great High Grade Morgan!!! I have 2 1881-o Morgans, I have sent one off for grading. It should grade a 66 DMPL the other one has something on the Obverse that looks like shellac but the Reverse has nothing on it and if NCS can remove the substance from the Obverse and it is as good as the Reverse it will be a very High Grade. The gentleman I bought the coins from (202)had them in a 1 Quart oil can!
This is a 1938 5 cent coin(medal) that I purchase and had it graded,I thought it was pretty neat. Has anyone ever seen one?
Good luck with your submission. Did you send the shellaced coin to PCS for conservation prior to submitting? Keep us updated on your results.
This is the Reverse No I sent the problem free coin to ANCS for grading and will probably send the one with what looks like shellac to them also because they have a conservation service that they charge only $7.00 per submission on up to 20 coins. They don't charge $7.00 per coin but $7.00 per submission.
Yes, I had one and sold it, for a nice profit I wish I had it back. I especially like the state outline at the bottom
