2006-S Proof Lincoln Cent (PCGS PR69RD). An interesting looking 2006-S Proof Lincoln that I picked up on eBay for a song ($7.98 BIN). I like the cornflower-blue elevation chromatics starting to develop on Lincoln's head.
1938 Proof Lincoln Cent (PCGS PR63BN). Whoo-wee on this 1938 Proof Lincoln. Just got it back in today's mail from PCGS. I took a gamble and bought this one raw off eBay for $175 (which I thought was overpriced by at least $100 since it was a raw coin and had grading risk) -- but the color made me roll the dice. Now with this beast slabbed, I bet it might bring double my purchase price (not that it's for sale mind you). That glossy deep green color is pretty rare on Mirror Proof Lincolns from what I have seen. The TrueView photo didn't catch as much of the green color as this shows in-hand. The slab photo (just below) I snapped with my iPhone a few minutes ago in indirect sunlight (under my skylights).
Winged Liberty; You always pick up the most interesting coins. You might make me buy a toned coin, for my collection, yet.
The girl and I went around to flea markets today which we haven't done in a while. While at the first flea market i felt like i was just starting to collect coins for the first time and had the fun i used to. I didn't care to much about condition, i bought what i was attracted to and again had fun. 1801 large cent. it has scratches and i just couldn't get a decent photo of this thing, far nicer in hand. 1954 proof washington. thought i saw some cameo and it was only a little above melt.
and a 1840 O with drapery. this is a fairly hard coin to accidentally stumble upon with a mintage of 43k and an 1854 o half
2013-P Perry Victory (Ohio) New DDO I've been watching the usual DDO & DDR site for this one, but none yet ! Doubling shows on the underside of Washington's earlobe, I'm also showing a die chip in the Q of Quarter, for one of the markers
