She arrived today. Not bad for $58 I don't think! Nice rich brown looking color until closer examination. She's a right sweet little coin.
Don't have many of these so I started a short set 1941-1947. Sorry for the scan they do look much better when set is complete I'll do better photos
my favorite local coin shop was closed when i went to him yesterday so decided to post some of the kinda recent stuff my girlfriend has bought for her 7070
i keep telling her to join the forum so SHE can show off her capped dime set she is putting together and all of the upgrades for her type, but no dice yet
A simple circulated seated dime has been added to my type set. My favorite seateds are the ND versions. Bought off rick snow. I dont fuss about slabs like most u.s. collectors.
Yellow-green (chartreuse?) color has been (surprisingly) hard for me to find on Proof Lincolns. This might be my best example. I bought this coin on approval last weekend but still haven't seen it in-hand yet, (Good old first class mail -- slow as molasses.) No idea how accurate the sellers photos are or if this coin is gradable or not (an in-hand view will help in that regard). Yes, I know there are fingerprints on both sides, but I thought the color was very interesting and unusual in spite of the prints. Due to the obverse chatter, I think if it does grade, it will probably max out around PR63BN, assuming it passes the sniffer and doesn't QC. Ode to a Green Coin Oh pretty green coin, could you be real? A subject of coin forum fodder and pointless spiel. Now I've drunken myself into a foggy sorrow. I'll let the coin grading companies argue about this tomorrow.
Enough with these mint state coins, LOL. I just got this from eBay to finish up my 1800's Uruguay type set.
I picked this up yesterday while I was at the Carson City Mint Museum, it is just a Round but it was pressed on the first coin press in Carson City Mint. They are using the Press to make coins every Month on the last Friday of the month, I think I will go down there and watch it in action. That press is Amazing to look at they did a nice job on restoring it.
2005-P Minnesota Extra Tree New DDR ? ? ? Here's a nice fine, low ms-condition ! The closest I could come is, DDR is 48 ! this one is from the " Rock " series, Nice Extra Rock (see arrow) ! Nice doubling off of the lower, part of the tree too ! Nice Die Grove runs though the lower part of Washington Bust, though the Signatures, and ends, out though Georges Braided Hair ! Has a Nice, I'd Say, Extra Leg of the " A " in " LAKES " and last, a nice Die Grove in the " Males " fishing pole ! P.S. One last thing, check out the " Grease " balls rolling down the " Rocks " I circled them
