Did you do the state quarters the same way? I just did the state quarters p/d in a dansco. However I think the artistry/level of this new series is such that im doing them in proof. They sure are beautiful, more so than the states I think.
i like that fact you went after something that is not the easiest to find. not knowing the date, i am going to say it is an 1876 just because
I won this one about a week and a half ago for $10. Been searching for a toned 59 Lincoln Proof for about year now. Just about done with my early toned Lincoln proof set.
Few new coins. 1928 replace for my Lincoln Series, Barber dime for a deal, and 2 more Bust Halfs, ill see when they get here if they're keepers or flippers.
I haven't had much to show lately, but I did just pick this beauty up to round off my morgans. I also picked up an 1881 that is identical to this one minus the date. Enjoy.
You should definitely get a crack out and get it regraded with this VAM, maybe you might get a higher grade!!! And this is not a cheap coin.
Also... http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=1154&lotNo=11829 if you get a MS64 that would be the only one ever found certified. There is only one MS63 NGC graded same VAM like you have. and it went for 1,725.00
Nice finds everyone, REALLY nice! I picked this gal up on Saturday. She's pretty rough, but a 38-D for 30x face can't be missed.
