    Beautiful piece. I always wondered why the Columbian Expos toned so much darker than other coins from the era. Is it a different alloy?

    Just use it as a hole filler until you find one that has an original hole. Trust me, you'll feel much better about your collection when you find that one coin with an original hole (not made by you).
