I haven't broken my promise - this was purchased before the promise. I know, it's hard to believe a lawyer keeping his promise.

My first acquisitions of U.S. issued Philippine coinage, been curious about them and grabbed these listed together on Ebay. I enjoyed the designs from looking at coins online; but seeing them in hand I like the designs now even more and will definitely be acquiring some more. Maybe go for a type set and find some better examples after the Holidays.

The US Philippine coins are very beautiful and a highly underrated set! A type set in the VF-EF range is easy to assemble yet can still provide a challenge for nice examples!

I swear it was in a bunch of purchases before the promise was made. Honest, you gotta trust me on this. However, I have a feeling when my next paycheck hits, the wonderful woman I call my wife will annul my promise and allow me some minor purchases (unless the members at CT want to hold me to my promise, then no more purchases during December other than the three stated).

Regarding the 3 exceptions, I did purchase a large cent last night. I still have a proof set and 500 lire yet to purchase.

Seems like I need to binge on small numismatic items all the time. It's like Christmas every other day that way. Hey, that rhymes! :smile

Believe it or not, I went over two years without an ebay purchase.
