Got this for face value where I work, ( A casino ) This was in one of the rolls in the cage. My friend set it aside for me. I just had to give a quarter to get it. The year my grandmother was born. Amazing it's been in circulation for 85 years. Can't beat it for face.

    Hello,

Here is a Denali 2012 Washington quarter I "acquired in change." Mechanical doubling? Has anyone else seen doubling in the Denali, or other ATB quarters? 2012full.jpg 2012 closeup.jpg denali.jpg

I can't tell definitively from the current pics if MD or Die doubling. Can you get a few closer shots?

Definitely mechincal doubling combined with die deterioration doubling.

Take note of the grainy field which is typical of a die which has been smashed hundreds of thousands of times into a hard copper nickel planchet.

1876 Big Hole cent.jpg Just came in today. I wonder what it was used for? Washer or spacer make you wonder.

You know when you buy these coins and drill holes in them this decreases their value? Try to save the shavings, particularly for the gold coins... I guess that's why you didn't pick 1877, you would never have been able to find a holed $50 gold piece?

pumpkinpie what is this I don*t even

i will guess he buys them already holed for that reason.
