That's a very valid point I didn't even consider. I make a lot of adjustments for every coin when I shoot, so it's not a super quick process for me either.
Yep, just got three today and love em (in a numismatic way, of course). I never would have gotten into ancients or foreign coins if I had not become a member of CT.
You just have to confuse me, don't ya? I figure a beautiful woman is sign enough to know which side is tails, and therefore by default, the other side is heads.

1787 Fugio -- Very nice. I take it that the Bank of NY hoard specimens are different in type than these? I've always been interested in 3 colonials but have to be careful not to digress into too many unrelated areas.
I picked up this 1998 Quarter and die set last night at my coin club meeting. I think it's pretty cool, but I REALLY wanted the quarter because it has a very beautiful(in my eyes), but faint, tone to it. I think it toned from being in the little pouch. I put it in the snap-tite after taking the pictures. Both pictures are the same quarter, just different flashes on the camera.
That is really cool. In the old days, the mint just punched a big X or something of the sort across the die. Nowadays they grind the whole face off. STILL COOL TO HAVE A DIE.
Just got this PCGS TrueView photo back from PCGS on Wednesday night. Underneath is the same coin photographed by Robec. I am starting to think that Robec's talent may have exceeded PCGS TrueView for quality. I have to admit I like Robec's image slightly more than the TrueView photo -- though both images are great. Kudos to Robec.
One thing I have noticed especially looking at the photos that you share is that Robec's Images tend to be sharper and the coin is represented as it would look in hand. PCGS doesnt quite offer that. IMO I think you are better off using Robec Images for your coins.
