Got this and another monster toned 1964 Lincoln cent (those pictures posted later when I photograph it!) raw off ebay: Smooth green toning on the left turns into a soft pink-orange on the right of lincoln's bust. The reverse is a well blended mix of green, pink-orange, and white toning. And it's in strong cameo condition to boot! Here's another angled pic of the coin:
A few carbon spots on her, but she's not looking too bad considering she turned 121 this year In addition to the new Indian, the photo was taken on my new copy stand. It is rock solid and makes a big difference over my old cheap flimsy one.
I built a 1914 set, and this is the half I got for it. These are the seller's pictures. Not a very easy date/grade to find for a reasonable price.
Got this one yesterday. For some reason, it is very camera shy. The fields are eerily smooth - that line through the E in ONE is a die scratch. It is a much better looking coin in hand than my pictures, but I believe someone tried to improve it a blue cast to the coin and it lacks great luster. I still like it better than my PCGS 63.
If coins could talk it ain't no telling what this old worn out coin would say. Estimated that only 400 have survived. .
The story that coin could tell if they could talk.Who has had it what did it buy?Wow that would be an ear full!!
Nothing special, but it was the only thing that caught my eye at the coin shop yesterday. And figured for $4 I couldn't go wrong.
Ok I couldn't resist this coin at the coin show today. I will also admit to stealing the pic from elsewhere cause my camera just will not come close to doing this coin justice. it is a 2004 Canadian $.50 Silver coin "tiger swallowtail" not sure it's realy worth the $35 i spent on it but i just couldn't resist it.
I got this today at a local antique store. The coin is low grade, but I got it for only $7. This AG 1913-D Type 2 Buff could go for $60 easily. The seller made a major mistake. They seem to have thought it was a Type 1.
AT'd? not really sure what that means still kinda new to the forums (btw i did repost in world coins where this post belongs )
I bought this from Harry Laibstain recently. It's an 1812/1 small 8. I'd love the large 8 but I'll probably never see one I could afford. Lance.
New ancient I got back in Long Beach. Now I just need 6 more reverses to finish her set. Lucilla ( 164-183 A.D.) AR Denarius O: LVCILLA AVGVSTA, Draped bust right. R: PVDICITIA, Pudicitia veiled standing left. 2.95g 19mm RIC 780
