1997 Botanic Gardens Set, includes the silver dollar PLUS the 1997 P Matte Proof Jefferson Nickel (mintage of only 25,000!) Very, very, VERY happy!

Slick, sometimes its worth selling stuff to get what you really want, which is what ive been doing.

 

It is a very nice coin--the lighting isn't showing sufficient saturation. You can tell that it has nice luster, but it isn't being picked up by the pic. Try some daylight (natural light) on the coin.

 

Not a fancy one, but a nice set that I have not had in years:

1961 Lincoln Cent (Proof). I just got this cherry-picked 1961 Lincoln Proof back from PCGS where it graded PR67RB. I pulled this from an Original Government Packaged (OGP) Proof Set that I bought from my local "bricks and mortar" coin dealer for $35. Subtracting out the melt value of the silver, which amounts to about $20, this monster Lincoln Cent only set me back about $15. A huge bargain for a PCGS PR67 with this much striking color.

 

Where did you get those, Jello, and how much did they cost? I would love to have an Edward VIII set.

 

Yes this mine I got with this a few weeks ago.from a buddy that worked here @ NASA but retired about 10yrs ago and moved back home to the UK

Just received this lovely ancient and wanted to share : a danubian celtic imitation of a Thasos tetradrachm. Love the funny design of this one !

 

I am curious about this 1936 set. The obverse does not indicate the King's full title with "IND: IMP:" Emperor of India. Looking through the 2011 edition of "Coins of England and the United Kingdom," page 494-495 illustrates the pattern coinage of King Edward VIII. The 1936 Maundy set was struck with the effigy of King George V, but distributed by Edward VIII since the King died on January 20, 1936, page 491 of the same source.
