I tried to find the thread, "Show your acquisitions, for $100 plus or minus 15 bucks. I looked high and low, even used the search function. No dice, so I'll post here. This was 90 bucks including shipping. 1880 O. I was fairly convinced it was a top VAM when I won it at auction but wasn't sure until I scoped it. Looks like low MS or high AU, possibly details? I'm never surprised either way.

What I'm sure of is the VAM. 8/7 check mark, VAM 21. Hot 50 Morgan VAM. It has several of the obvious pick points but not all of them are obvious. What sealed the deal in convincing me is the Alligator Eye which isn't found on any other 1880-O vam. I haven't taken pics with the scope but here is sellers photo. It's got some hairlines but enough to get it details, who knows? I'll eventually send to ANACS for grade and attribution.

Looks MS-61/62 to me.
