With this little beauty I'm zeroing in on the completion of my 18th century to 20th century type set. I normally avoid detail coins but I've been searching for so long for this half dime I grabbed it the minute I saw it.

 

love the patina on that one, gives a very mystic look, congrats on the pick up.

 

ALWAYS happy to add one more of these 1997 P Jefferson Nickels to the hoard (this makes 18) - someday I'll have enough for a bulk submission

 

I thought I had canceled this, but I guess I didn't.
So I'll just give it to my granddaughter for her 21st birthday.

 

A great gift, I am sure she will treasure it always

Sad to say, but I never knew my grandfathers.

 

Very nice 1861 2&1/2D. Plus it's a No Motto variety!* I only have one of these a quite worn 1846 P or O $10 Lib. I have attempted to buy several No Motto $5, but have always been outbid.

* Technically I think all the Lib 2&1/2 D are NM but it's still contemporary with these pieces.

In a sea of blast white mint state commemoratives i like mine with toning. This 1952 closely resembles the 51 i have.
