I like this one even more. I have to admit that little mark on his jaw on the 97 was jus a wee be distracting.
There has been some debate over on the Collectors Universe thread about whether or not PCGS got it right and whether that's a legitimate strikethrough, or PMD. Some have said that the tops of the letters E DO in FIVE DOLLARS shouldn't show, but others contend that that could be possible if the foreign object it was struck through was of a softer material. @Fred Weinberg got tagged over there but has not responded just yet, so I'll tag him here, too. (Fred, see Post #2916 above, and thanks in advance, if you do decide to weigh in.) I did not pay any premium for the error or the pedigree. I did pay full retail for the grade, because I liked the coin. The error and pedigree were just added bonuses, to my way of thinking.
