    Question on this piece???
    Being struck thru grease...it would weigh the same as a mint state coin.
    If under weight?? That would be a tell tale sign of Post Mint Damage ( agree? )

    This coin weighs 5.02 grams, so the weight is dead on. If the coin was under weight then I would be a suspicious. However, I’m not sure how a post mint damage “method” could replicate a the strike thru effect. I appreciate your question. ;-)

    That has the most complete steps I have ever seen on an 83 Jefferson. Nearly 6FS. Of course the strike thru helped a bit.

    Last auction was 4/8/20 a VG -10 specimen sold at $720.00. Dan Brady discovered this variety in the mid 1990's. 28 years later less than a dozen graded between NGC,and PCGS.
