He must have also missed that we’re talking coins here and not politics.

Whatever it is, a single common language is the greatest unifier that any country can have.

So people in America randomly come up and start speaking any of those languages to you. Interesting..

What makes no sense is trying to drag me into a political debate on a forum and thread that is dedicated to coin collecting. I ain't goin' there.........

This is an absurd topic to raise in a "post your latest acquisition" thread and you should be ashamed of yourself. Adelina Otero-Warren's ancestors arrived in New Mexico in 1598. Guess what language they spoke. You should probably read up on her history, why she's being honored on a coin, and frankly history in general.

Just wonder how you're thinking. . . So if my ancestors arrived in Pennsylvania from Germany in the 1870's and I were to be honored on a coin, should the inscription be in German? I don't think so. Probably all the ethnic groups that migrated to the US have famous migrants that made great contributions to our country. Then they should all be treated equally. When and where does it stop?
I have no intent in disparaging her accomplishments in education and womens' suffrage, in fact I applaud her. Of course, celebrate your individual language and culture and that of your ancestors.
I just don't think the bifurcation of the single, official language related to the function of the government at the federal level of a country is positive.
I'm happy to move on now.

I like the German Language Hochdeutsch, and especially like German Rap. Honestly it’s my favorite next to French Rap. Which is the best rap in the world, 667 Ekip.
