Not with a deal like that. Had someone bid before I paid for it i would have ran it right up. Set my max bid at 80.

 

Some new acquisitions. Though the Denver minted coins had problems, your humble servant frankly can’t tell the difference between that MS69 and the two 70s. Certainly not worth the price difference.

 

yes, the RPM designation is what caught my eye. I'm not familiar with PCI as a grading entity but I didn't have that type of slab. the coin looked good even without the addition of the rpm.

 

Great find Paddy. 51-O 3CS aren’t easy to find nice for sure.

I asked myself exactly the same question. First grader must have missed it and the second had a day off?

 

It’s difficult to tell whether that’s on the coin or the slab, in hand. We’d have to crack it out to tell for certain.

Under rated series... that is fun as well challenge to collect . ....you know what's fun about collecting a series that others pass by? Finding specimens for your set that are better than average. I started 20 years ago buying a 1862/1 specimen the variety is one of the top for series as well has increased in value..
