Man, you must have been disappointed with that. Thank goodness it wasn't a gold bean. Would have destroyed the "value" for sure . . . . . . . Z
Yes, nothing illustrates the insane mindset of us collectors and our weird little niches better than “LOWEST GRADED AT CAC! “ as a selling point headline on a coin.
A little "eye candy" from Daniel Carr. Color toned copper with a total mintage of 21. The Bear is Rhodium plated, the Cap is Gold plated. Z
Beautiful example. I think this date/mm often gets forgotten as a lower mintage with the 13, 14 and 15 Philly issues being such low mintages.
I believe this to be the overton 102. Is that right @okbustchaser It looks like i have the die crack at star 2
It's 102. The I under T relationship makes it Revere B--used by both 102 and 104. The easiest way to determine whether it's Obverse 1 (O-102) or Obverse 2 (O-104) is by the "bouncing 8" which is higher than either 1. Yes, you have the die crack to go by in the later die state, but what if you had an earlier die state? In general, die cracks or clashes are not the best way to determine a marriage. By the way, nice R-4 coin.
