A "fun" coin and curiosity arrived today listed as 1806/5 Draped Bust half dollar with a few interesting die characteristics as well as holed.
Over 50 years ago, I put together a 20th Century Type Set (sans Gold) for my Coin Collecting merit badge. The coin which completed the set was a 1908-o quarter in (roughly) G-4 condition. So I finally upgraded to this one.

New arrivals in the Silver BU department. Assorted 1oz coins and rounds including a few Kookaburra privy coins.
Okay, obligatory "crappy mobile phone pics" apology - but I'm away from home, so it's the best I can do. Picked up this NGC Gen 4 Fatty 1891 S Morgan in MS63 today. Nice color and luster, especially on the reverse (looks almost PL to me, but I'm no expert.) Also picked up an original Mexico 1985 Onza BU Roll today:
This half eagle was repaired, but I thought it was a nice example that was priced fairly. I generally try stay away from problem coins, but this is one I don't regret being part of my collection. It was interesting to learn more about John Reich (the coin designer) when researching more about Capped Bust coinage. I feel bad for him because he essentially did many of the designs and never got a promotion and never saw a pay raise in his tenure.
Two new finds 1840 o with drapery a better date and variety. Also a 1852 another better date 1,000,500 mintage.
Saw that on the Proof post @Santinidollar but want to say it again AWESOME Pick-up sir, she's a real beaut!!
Just arrived. 1892 25c Reverse I. A little harder to find than I thought it would be. They quickly transitioned to Reverse II because the coins wouldn't stack properly, but as the first year were saved in large numbers. A lot prettier in hand, couldn't capture it without reflection but here's an idea. It completes my examples of all three reverse types. I, II, and III left to right. It's all in the wing tips. The right two are both 1900-P, another transition year.
The guy wanted $4 each ... I gave him $7 for the 3 of them. He was happier than me at the time. I think I’m one of the nine people in the world that collect these.
