I just received my D Morgans today. The finish on them look a lot better than the O Morgans I received, but of course there are blemishes on some of the D Morgans (as can be seen near the 6 o'clock position in the example below). I'm still pleased with the coins, and I hope they do more modern releases of the classics and in multiple formats (proof, reverse proof, etc.).
It was started over 10 years ago. I got plenty of time to catch up. And the scary thing is, I'll be the ONLY one posting, lol.
Hey @dwhiz . . . . . . . I would have posted this in the PM, but for some reason the site won't let me insert PM photos today . . . . . . Thanks much! Z
I’m glad your PM wouldn’t work and you had to share, ‘cause I liked the meme, and generally anything else that makes me think of the movie for a moment.
Just pick this up this morning. A nice circam with a questionable mm? An F-12 by my eyes, Can't tell from the image, but got it $26 less than grey!
To be honest IDK ,however as posted in the past my father worked at the Federal Reserve bank, and one of the guards at that bank was Lee Marvin's cousin, he looked spot on like Lee, and during a visit to have lunch on a Friday [ Friday was crab cake for lunch day] I was like wow they shooting a movie?
Ive always been a huge fan of his movies, have I seen them all no...I'm not a movie person...but he was definitely one of Hollywood best! Bar none....there some of his films I could watch at home from dusk to dawn.
MM looks fine to me. The Reverse A. I quote from the Larry Briggs' book: "Large "O" mintmark without rays running through mintmark; 1.4 mm high and 1.3 mm wide, imbedded in center of crotch. Five rays extend below mintmark." Additionally, the obverse date looks like the Obverse 1 (paired with Reverse A) but I cannot detect any of the die cracks or scratches that Briggs mentions.
Wow thank you...I appreciate your help ive have no reference books on seated quarters other than Breem ,cpg, and couldn't get a web site with the information. Any R factor? My question on the mm was the O/o variety as it is much thicker than other specimens I compared to.
