@dwhiz . Are these highly collectible now ? Or are they more of an investment ? Either way, I like it . Maybe even check out his site.

I think I like yours a tad better.

I did end up pocket carrying mine for a while to subdue the darker "highlights" on the coin.

I need to take new photos.

@dwhiz and @ZoidMeister . I guess they are very popular as I noticed most of his coins are Sold Out .

He only does very short runs of a particular item, then retires the design when sold out. I bought mine on the second hand market. This keeps interest strong for his work.

I think that 1805 was one of his very early overstrike pieces. Created in 2011 IIRC.

I'll confirm and reply. Right now Dan's Oregon Trail piece is available and is sure to be very sought after when he closes it for purchase. You have to keep an eye on his webstore every week to catch stuff while it's available.

The Daniel Carr 1805 Silver Dollar overstrike was done in 2019.

To me it's a hobby, not an investment, the Moonlight mint makes some nice stuff, as do others.

highly collectible now ? That's up to you.
    I only buy what I like and sometimes I don't buy what I like:banghead:

Picked up my first Half Dime. Man these things are tiny! A7C6C170-C7BD-4C30-BAA2-86AAD8E5B2E2.jpeg 87A07BEB-E6C3-4333-8567-D9BD10F5EF31.jpeg

1808 O 109 R3. It looks like it will be the prime state of the variety. Showing multiple clash marks and doesn't seem to have the die cracks. I estimate approximately vf30 +/-. I love the multiple clashes.

FAKE as a 3-Dollar Bill ... unless that 3-Dollar Bill is the one I showed from the COOK ISLANDS. This is SO FAKE that they sent me a 1/2 oz. coin when the add claimed a 1/10 oz. coin. Anyway ... it cost me the equivalent of a tap-beer and a side of tater-tots ($10).

This 1917-D is in my Lincoln set.

It's not bad, but I was looking to see if I could find something with a little luster. This is sharply struck and very clean. I can't decide if it's just too clean.

Received this one over the weekend. I'm having difficulty finding significant information on it.

The "obverse" has a reproduction of the 1792 French Diplomatic Medal engraved by Augustin Dupre.

    https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/search/object/nmah_1097464

The "reverse" has the inscription commemorating the ANA's 100th Anniversary.

It says, "With Compliments of the French Mint" so I am guessing this was minted by the Paris Mint and given to ANA dignitaries during the 1991 ANA Convention in Chicago?

Has anyone seen one of these in the past? Appreciate any and all information on it.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't tell me, let me guess...........you keep buying eye appealing young ladies of the most reputable and comely appearances, and it interferes with the goal at hand.
