The newest. I already have a 1932 10 dollar Indian, but really love these. 1932 was the year my father was born so even though it is the most common I can’t help myself. Feel they bring me luck.
Camera didn't catch it fully, but the luster on this is, in hand, is spectacular Mexico 1968, 25 Pesos .720 Silver KM479.1 level rings EDIT Please ignore, wrong sub-forum
I just got another one I had been looking at for days. Sellers pictures here. Overton 110. Nicely clashed. A weak strike on the right obverse and reverse. And a bit under the date at the edges. And I think somewhat light on the reverse central features. But I think liberty looks magnificent. The seller was full on retail. But I couldn't quit thinking about it.
My first Barber quarter. NGC AU58. Paid way too much. But I figured I should have an example of the third obverse hub type that I just discovered. Article in the next BCCS quarterly journal! (Spoiler - 1900 now has three obverse types, relating to the inner ear and subtle details in WE TRUST).
It seems to me that coin prices have been astronomical over the past several months. I can't seem to find anything reasonably priced. I don't refer to bullion or special US Mint issues, just the classic series, etc. Is this just me???
It is the 109. Same reverse die as the 110, but from the die state I'd have thought 110 first as well. The obverse, however, lacks the "jumping 1" in the date from the 110 plus one can just make out the die crack from date to stars on the left of the 109.
Yea I couldn't see the crack at first. A friend of mine pointed it out. The clashes made me think it was the 110
This is not a new acquisition any more, but what a perfect opportunity to post another 1921 overstrike from Dan Carr.
