Yay another slot filled in my reg set :-D KM# 77 Seated Dime w/arrows type thanks @C-B-D it‘s always a pleasure!
Cool find for $40 at the antique shop. JFK commemorative coin set. Two Kennedy half dollars, (One 1964 90%, and the other unknown) 24k gold plated and set in bezels with rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Came with all the paperwork. Only 2000 per state were produced and this is number 1933 of 2000 for Oregon. Includes a sculpture by a man named Donjo.
This is my first new acquisition in several months after over spending my budget for a couple of years. But I'm a sucker for "dateless" identifiable coins. It's an R5 variety with nice die state markers. One marker that is not mentioned in the books is the "laser beam" eyes found on all examples of the late die states on the S-133 and the only known 1797 NC-7.
Boy, that‘s a hell of a coin! I am wondering why she didn’t grade 65… toning, luster, eye appeal, it’s all there. Congrats.
I am a sucker for those too. Most everyone would "sneer" wrinkle their noses walk away. I buy them and give them a home .
