Addition to my Seated Liberty Half collection. It has been cleaned in the past, but not brutally like the one it replaced.
This came in the mail a week ago and I found it this afternoon. I checked the tracking today and it said delivered on 3/27. The wifey tossed it on the corner of my desk and I never saw it. I hate it when she does that but it was worth the wait.
A couple of nice harder half dollars from the Easter Bunny: 1857-S (very rare) . . . 1873 Arrows DDO (Quad Stripes) . . .
Haven’t been able to buy anything for a while with the lack of shows and ridiculous prices the auctions have been seeing. My local dealer is a friend and his shop needs new lights so I replaced some of his old fluorescents with LEDs yesterday. 7 done and 15 more to go but I traded the lights and labor plus some of the cash I haven’t been able to spend on some foreign he finally priced, a Russian gold 10 ruble and the nicest $20 out of a dozen he had on hand.
1803 Kettle Token I saw this and had to have it! It is as close to owning a Heraldic Eagle that I can afford.
I bought a lot of four Civil War tokens for just under $40. This was in the lot. I absolutely love being the first to see a eBay "Buy It Now" bargain. It was up for under 10 minutes on eBay Austria when I clicked on it. How do these things get over there anyhow? Actually, I think this token is British. I wanted the Civil War tokens but this sealed the buy.
