Check that for an RPM! Edit: the top serif on the S might not be a hit but could be WRPM002. Does it have a die scratch from the right wheat top to the rim?
Good eye! I noted that on the holder, I'm a big fan of varieties especially the IHC's. It is a WRPM002 but the die scratch is not there that I can see under a microscope.
Coinmaster1, that was the first election I was able to vote inand I know I didn't vote for Nixon! Okay, so I've never stepped up like this, I'm stoked and broke at the same time and it feels marvelous!
First purchase in almost a year. It hasn't been for lack of trying. There seems to be less good material on average coming to sale, and whenever I lock onto a target coin I get bid out of town. I finally found a good one on ebay and got my bid thru. 1904-o 4b Fishhook: doubled date, clashed dies, pitting on reverse OLL, and beginning stages of a CUD above BUS on obverse.
A very scarce 1840 Quarter with Drapery . . . A nice wholesome, well struck 1920-S Buffalo . . . A very attractive 1853-O Half . . . And an uncleaned 1850-D Gold Dollar . . .
Nothing extremely valuable, but I found this repunched mintmark Washington Quarter in an album I recently bought. I always enjoy a fun cherrypick! Especially ones I've never found before.
This was another one in an OGH holder, MS65. But it had a haze of PVC on it. I cracked it, acetoned it, and gave it a quick dip. Pretty pleased with the results.
These five coins were acquired at last week's Lakeland, Florida show. The first two filled empty holes in my US Type Set and the last 3 are upgrades to that set. Not sure about the rarity rating on the 1873 w/arrows quarter. That was listed in Briggs' book as a conditional rarity but after checking PCGS and NGC pop reports, I don't think R-4 is right, probably more like R2 or 3. Happy to entertain anyone's opinion on it.
Mondays are usually gangbusters for me with coins but it was slow today, expecting a better showing tomorrow.
