Another slot filled in my NGC 7070 registry set. Now I need the quarter, too :-D It would be great if someone could confirm the variety. I believe it’s JR-5, not 7.
Nice. Fun fact- there was only one die pairing used for 1851 half cents and all genuine examples have a misplaced “1” to the right of the date.
Check JR-1, rather than JR-5. One thing it definitely isn't is JR-7 and from the pic I don't think it is the "high 3" of the 5 and 7.
I picked up a couple of raw proof Indian Cents that I just got around to taking photos of. The images do not portray this, but the 1905 is extremely flashy. The glare was so intense that it hurt my eyes to examine this coin under my normal light setup. 1891 proof Indian Cent 1905 proof Indian Cent
Every time I look at a Standing Liberty Quarter, I'm taken back to the 1917 I traded for when I was in high school or maybe Jr. High. It was so clean, probably cleaned and I was so afraid someone would take it I hid it. In fact I hid it so well, I've never found it.
Just missed the $50 thread with this one. But I am super happy with her. Solid VF, but some of the wear patterns on “ER” in her shield are confusing me against the PCGS photograde choices. There are lots of dress detail and even some hair details above her ear. I am thinking VF30. Maybe 35? Not a huge value difference between 25-35. What do you think? I have zero knowledge on strike details on these.
It is nice looking coin but is definitely a details coin. It has some edge dings and looks to have been cleaned in the past which effects value and equals a no grade if sent to a TPG. Take that into consideration when looking at price guides for coins.
Two recent cherrypicks: 1. 1854 PCGS MS63 Three Cent Silver RPD FS-301 (variety not on holder yet). 2. 1900 raw Indian Head Cent RPD. @ldhair is this one in the Snow book?
This is $76 minus $15 in eBay Bucks I needed to use up. the uneven wear makes it difficult to grade with half the coin being 0 and half being F12. But its a 96 for less than $100. I've seen so many minor clips, I don't think it adds value at this point.
Spanky just got some new acquisitions. This was shot in 1931, I sure would like to go through that change.
Right time frame, but they were strict about using prop coins and bills back then. Of course that may have value itself.
