@C-B-D may have posted this before he sold it to me. In any case, now it's my new acquisition, with new photos.
The NGC app is available in the iPhone App Store too. You simply look up a coin and then click on the green plus icon to the right to add a coin to a set. It really can’t get more easy.
Bought this one from a foreign coin silver box by weight and 90% of melt(~$9) and searched it on ebay to find people selling it for $100+!!! Also others for $20-$30. I am inordinately tempted to shine up the flat fields to a mirror finish!
Something is really wrong with the date of your ‘42 Mercury. Do you want to trade it for one with a clearly readable date? :-D
FS-901 Rusted Reverse Die. Very rare variety. Cherrypickers Guide values them only slightly higher than normal, with a disclaimer that values are yet to be determined. But y'all need to keep an eye out for them. I sold a PCGS CAC XF45 for $700 earlier this year, and in 2018 I sold a PCGS MS63 for $1850, (if memory serves).
No, sadly. I paid up for it, but it has a shot at AU55 FSB or AU58 FSB. If it misses FSB and just grades AU55, then I'll probably just break even.
Some more this week . . . all but one came from eBay, so good deals CAN still be had. A nice 1868-s Half Dime . . . A 1911-Weak D Quarter Eagle . . . A rare 1894-S Gold Eagle . . . A Scarce mint state 1890 Double Eagle . . . And some more . . .
A scarce 1875-S Dime, mintmark above bow . . . A very cool retained cud discovery on an 1850 Quarter Eagle . . . a few minor distractions, but this is the only known example, as far as I am aware. A very scarce mint state 1896-S Gold Eagle, NGC MS61, which I feel is PQ . . .
