Been very busy for a while, and didn't have time to shoot photos until now. Some fun things I've picked up over the past several weeks: A choice VF 1852-O H10c . . . A scarcer 1928-D Buffalo . . . An uncommon 1906-S Barber Dime in XF . . . A conditionally scarce Choice BU 1880-S Gold Eagle . . .can't get that darned smudge off the holder! . . . and more to come.
A scarce VF 1911-S Barber Quarter . . . A scarce 1972 Type 2 Ike with some attractive color . . . A nice VG 1893-O Barber Half . . . A rare mint state 1883-S Gold Eagle . . . . . . Still a few more . ..
A scarce VG 1893-S Barber Half . . . A stunning AU 1866-S Half Dime . . . A 1921 Standing Quarter with a bold date . . . And my personal favorite from the Whitman Show, a common date 1904 $20 Lib with great original color . . .
Couple of my show pickups. Can’t wait to see what the DDO grades Told my wife to be on the lookout for odd size silver bars. Found one! 1972 DDO ICG MS62
Last of my newps for a while: A VF 1923-S Walker . . . A very attractive originally toned 1892-O Morgan . . . Another 1923-S Walker, just missing XF (luster is not apparent in photos, but covers a fair amount of real estate on this coin) . . . And a coin I can't shoot acceptably to show it's semi-P/L traits, so I've given up. A scarce mint state 1897-O $10 Lib . . .
I absolutely wanted another Bustie... looking for the “right one” this WE... now this shiny petite princess crossed my plans: @Rheingold que tal Isabella?
I haven't really bought anything lately so last night I checked out Great Collections. I bid on 2 coins a Morgan and a Peace dollar. neither of which I would be disappointed if I didn't win. I did win the Morgan but I was able to run the price up on the Peace dollar which I lost out on. By the way it was a GSA Peace dollar.
I couldn't resist getting another 1910-S Lincoln. The seller called it "1910-S Lincoln Cent - Better Date - Sharp Looking Brn AU+ Coin". This was the picture. I disagreed on the AU grading. I could see no signs of any rub. I think other sellers were scared away, wondering perhaps why it was downgraded to AU, allowing me to walk off with this for $71. Here's the full-size still photos. In this case brown is made up of a lot of blue, red, and purple, with the finest lines creating a hint of a woody effect.
