Yesterday I found a 2019 W quarter. Honestly I didn't expect to find one but it did stand out

I loved the clash marks on both sides so I had to have this. It's a nice raw coin that probably wouldn't get a straight grade. 1920Sbuffalonickelr.jpg 1920Sbuffalonickelo.jpg

1918 Standing Liberty Quarter billed as UNC on eBay. I think it makes the criteria for Full Head - the three sprigs visible, hair is divided from the face along the forehead, and a visible hair curl around the ear or at least the ear hole.

I toned down the exposure to show the details and luster, but it is blast white.

The first image has full color fidelity, while the animation is limited to 256 colors per frame. Since this is almost entirely composed of gray, that probably doesn't matter too much.

Pretty close to full head. I can't make out much of the ear in the pictures.

Agreed, it's always tough. It's just so darned small. Is this better?

Or maybe this? The multiple light angles come in handy, I think.

It turns out that I bought two Standing Liberty quarters this week. This 1920 is marked as cleaned, but I could see no signs of it from the seller's detailed photos. IF there was any cleaning, it certainly did not disturb the surfaces, based on its luster.

I was going to bid modestly, but I hit the "2" key instead of the "1" key when typing the first digit of my bid. Fortunately the under-bidder had some pity on me. It went over what I planned, but is still at about half the price guide if this is an MS64.

The only obvious evidence of cleaning I can see is over (Edit: and under) the Eagle's right wing on the reverse, looks like an eraser mark, but the only one I see. Very nice coin! I hope that isn't more evident in hand.
