H.A.S. LLC. Yeah and who just picked an 1858 inverted date? Wasn't I said the guy who for decades has searched and never found one.
I will check that. Here is a link to the variety page. I will probably start a new thread tonight when I can take a detailed set of photos. For now, this would be a tantalizing start showing the doubling at the shield. There is an AU55 listed at $625 on eBay right now. I don't know how to value varieties (even Top 100 ones) so I'm not sure what I have here. Here's the whole reverse at the forum's maximum size.
I haven't had a chance to truly look at this and research it..I've been on the road .but it's worth checking out.
Bought this one this morning. Error not noted on the holder. Paid zero premium. Not even sure the seller knew what he had... Also, this is the only double struck 1805 Draped Bust Dime I can find when search the web and Heritage archives.
Just picked this up on Monday - die polish lines and all, plus an old-timey villain mustache (I know it's a scratch): Also, if someone is pretty solid on Liberty Nickel varieties, please send me a PM - I've got a couple others with the same set of die gouges I'd like to ask about.
They really used those dies fully. Amazing wear marks that give tails to the stars on the front and puts spikes on the letters on the reverse.
1930 PCGS MS66. The 1930 is a very tough date with color this nice. This example is not full bands, but still very well struck.
