@Burton Strauss III , @Conder101 , would the cert number RE0001 above on the V nickel be of any significance? Thanks.
@C-B-D yes and no. It's clearly the first REnnnn, but as a prefix, RE is one of the 3 used at the time of the ANACS sale by ANA to Amos Press. So it's actually a late ANA slab.
Not new acquisitions, as I purchased these direct from the Mint, but newly photographed. The enhanced uncirculated sure does have a unique look, and that reverse proof....
Just a modest Bust dime in humble grade, but pleasing for a low grade example, in my opinion. It's going in the giveaway Pick Bin, so if you want a shot at winning it for free, enter the August giveaway and put Prize #1 at the top of your choices. (Note that there are lots of other prizes as well.) *As of this typing it has not yet been added to my giveaway Pick Bin list just yet, but it will be, before the drawing.
Some newps from the past few days: A scarce 1902-S Barber Quarter in strong VF . . . Homely looking dark color over a nice looking coin. A very scarce 1850 Half Dollar in ANACS AU53 . . . A mint state 1912 Indian Quarter Eagle, very nearly choice.
And another few coins . . . A tough 1906-O Barber Quarter in Choice Fine . . . An elusive 1888-S Half Eagle with a pleasant look . . . And a scarce and original 1900-S Gold Eagle in PCGS AU55.
Here's a 2c piece that's also going in the giveaway kitty. Again, you may enter here for the August giveaway. This coin is one of the selections for the Prize #1 pick bin.
