For me the reverse is the money side on this coin. Forget displaying the obverse, flip it over and really enjoy that reverse.
Yes, the reverse is the main reason I bought the coin. The luster is unbelievable...it seriously looks like a coin that just came off the press in 1915. Shame about the obverse, but c'est la vie.
A better date 1884 Half Eagle graded MS62 by NGC . . . A very scarce 1894-S $10 Lib with exceptionally nice original surfaces . . . And a conditionally rare 1887 $10 Lib, conservatively graded MS62 by NGC . . .
You're lost, this is a sub for showing pictures of coins you recently purchased. If you have questions you need to make a new post please.
Maybe he recently purchased that. If so, I hope he didn't pay more than a quarter, since that coin is purely damaged and nothing else.
Actually my mother had it put away, She retired from the Bank.. Hows that purely damage?? Sure looks like it was struck through something...
Look at how the flan is bent and misshapen. And those little peckmarks all over the place. Sorry, but that is PMD.
Sorry, but your coin is clearly damaged. Rather than calling your coin Struck Thru, I'd call it Struck With. .
