Not a new acquisition, but I re-shot it today. I don't think I've shared it here before. 2007 George Washington Presidential Dollar, skeletonized by John Hughey.
I was lucky enough to acquire three Indian Head Cents in two days. This was one of the two that arrived the second day. Each of the three has deep luster and amazing, but different, coloring.
A few newps . . . A scarce 1875-S Seated Dime with mintmark above bow . . . A really nice under-rated 1917-D Walker with Reverse Mintmark . . . A better date 1855-O Seated Half Dime graded AU55 by PCGS . . . A nearly choice BU 1914-D Indian Quarter Eagle . . . A well struck, premium quality 1935-D Buffalo Nickel, graded MS64 by PCGS . . .
Agree with 35. I think she is O-106. Upturned serif in the 2. Top right serif in the 7. Star 1 points to lower half of denticle. Star 7 points to middle of denticle. Centering dot on shield between upper cross bars. Stripes 1, 2, and 4 extend into cross bar 2. 3rd line on stripe 5 extends into cross bar 3. The shield being closed at base rules out 111.
Yes, it's 106. The I to T relationship plus the 3rd line on stripe 5 are diagnostic to either 106 or 144 (Reverse die F). Star 1 on the obverse points to lower half of denticle rather than upper edge which makes it 106. Edit to add: Here is a 111.
Nice surfaces on the dime. The half dime is really cool. Love the die cracks and the clash. Fun coin.
