This is the best obverse I can manage with my wife's iPhone, under current lighting. It's a 1925 D, 2 1/2 dollar. I don't know much about the series yet but have an affinity for the design after seeing some on here. I think grading for me, is more about bringing order to my collection with the nice holder, than added value. So much to learn! (lol)
I have stated this before but that is the best Obverse design that any of our American coins have imo
I think it's the nicest of all designs. I exclusively collect the gold indians mostly for that reason.
I love the gold Indians as well but may be the only one who likes the Liberty Heads more for each denomination. I just love the Liberty design not much I would change with any of the denominations. It's nice for me since I can afford much higher grade examples in Libs compared to Indians which are just crazy expensive in higher grades.
You could attempt to use a magnifier/loupe over coin for a closer view when taking the pic, if your device isn't capable of magnification. These little suckers are hard to photograph well.
You do know that this is the U.S. section "or thread"to post new acquisitions? And that there's is also a thread in World Coins to do the same?
Apparently the answer to both your questions is "no". I will research this deeper and either edit that post or not. Thanks.
This appears to have had a misaligned die that failed to strike the right side of the obverse. The rest of the strike is very nice, though.
