I bought the holder and the coin. Not sure if I'll get around to having it graded or if it's worth it but I like it.
Hold it. It's worth more where it is. Paramount 65 holders are generally considered accurately graded by those who know, and this coin does nothing to hurt that impression.
There are a bunch on eBay that NGC graded in the Paramount holders. I wouldn't crack it out since the holder is the only reason I bought it.
1891 MPD FS-25-07.5 MPD-001 heavy clashes between the rock and date, also seen by both arms. Au. $700, MS 63 $1300. Nice find sweet coin! Nice premium for the variety in MS- 61 a $360. Coin I'm sure that with the variety in a 61 grade you're in high cotton!
Just traded for this girl. Since it's not a list vam and a date I don't readily collect, I hadn't known about it until I saw it. Such crazy lines. VW calls them polishing lines but I've never seen pl's like this. Very cool and unusual. Hope 78cc v9 makes a future list
Neat find....I have a shield nickel with the same sort of lines. @SuperDave as he was checking it out on our ride up to Gettysburg last fall. It's neat seeing the same strange lines on another coin.
There's a few like that; I can think of an 8TF or two off the top of my head. On an unrelated subject, one of a few newps I have or have coming, duplicated from the Lincoln thread:
