    A Lysimachos with the depiction of Alexander is something definitely on my want-list...but with a budget under $500, it seems that nearly all are a few $hundred out of my range.

    My favorite tetradrachm was a wedding gift from my wife. She thinks medieval coins are boring because they all look identical and wanted to get something that looked nice.

    Yo steve, is the 3rd one Philip II of Macedon? Interestingly enough I took a class on ancient civilization the other semester, and the professor taught about some of the rulers through numismatic items (how cool of a class is that?). I distinctly remember him talking about how Philip II essentially used his coins as propaganda pieces...he thought of himself as such a good chariot racer that he often included images of it on the back of his coins :woot:

    A coin like that might make a good 1st tetradrachm pick, whaddya think?
