On the small shows, even today it is still used when the act that just finished is out in the seats selling Pop Corn,Peanuts and the Slum( cheap trinkets) and plush(expensive souvenirs).</p><p>I don&#039;t know of any show in the outdoor amusement business, using it for other then employees.</p><p><br /></p><p>The railroads used show script to keep local station agents and conductors from skimming cash. And the shows new that the traveling agents, bill posters weren&#039;t over charging the show.
