At this point he's only a possible issuer so I still have a lot of work to do</p><p><br /></p><p>Due to the heavy wear on the coin and the pristine look of the stamp, I feel as though the name was added many years after the coin was minted. It wouldn't be a stretch to date the issue to the 1870s / 1880s or even a bit later. In any case, this is one of clearest and well struck stamps I have in my collection.
