On the other side, the outer circle is in German ("Seal of the city of Magdeburg 14th century") while the inner circle is sort-of-Latin: "Made by Binroth from Delitzsch, facsimile". It is fair to assume that the thing in the middle is a monogram, with the second/bottom part being a "B".
